The Purpose of Natural Living Festival

There are few completely sustainable products or services. Exhibitors must meet our minimum standards – which are products and/or approaches that result in lowering the impact on the environment. By providing a wide range of products, services, resources and information, it is our hope that attendees will move as quickly as possible toward adopting sustainable lifestyles.

Minimum Requirements for Exhibitors

The Natural Living Festival is a three-day event showcasing companies and organizations that provide products, services, resources and information for show visitors to make better informed decisions concerning:

• Complimentary or alternative medicine care options
• Organic and healthy foods
• Fitness, health and vitality
• Eco Travel and Alternative Fuels & Energy

Sustainable Products/Services

To ensure that the Festival includes only products and services that meet the standards of the Festival will be allowed. Every exhibitor and the product they intend to showcase will be reviewed, based on the following definition:

Sustainable Products/Services - Products and services which meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs. (Included in this definition are the principles of environmental, economic and social health.)

The exhibitors and the products they intend to showcase within this category will be reviewed to ensure that all products and services meet the standards of the Festival.

Local and Organic Foods

There will be an emphasis on local and organic foods because of the conservation on fossil fuel used in transportation. Food travels approximately 1,500 miles from the producers to the supermarket. Local foods are fresher, more nutritious and support family farms. Food safety is crucial and it’s important to know the people that produce our food. Organic foods are pure and untainted by synthetic chemicals. These foods provide non-genetically modified nutrition that comes in many natural varieties.

Health & Vitality

An array of health care providers, products, and services will show how integrating the best of conventional and alternative medicines can provide a holistic approach. By treating the mind, body, and spirit, we can attain optimum physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health.

Eco-Travel and Alternative Fuels & Energy

Fossil fuels are one of the major sources of pollution to our planet. Companies who provide alternative means of transportation and eco-friendly vehicles will become leaders in the new Indiana. Those who provide a new source for fuels and energy using bio-technology and renewable resources will also be key to Indiana’s success.
